Guilt
Guilt (A work of fiction that is all too true) Charles Foster was feeling particularly old today. It must have been the weather. In truth, he was quite old, but as he put it, age hadn’t caught him yet. Born into a war and a veteran of two more, he had seen all that there was to see, done all that there was to do. He now lived in a quiet little house in a quiet little town. Despite his great age, he was still a formidable sight. Feeling cheesy, so I made this. I originally started with the chorus, and the idea of desperately pulling at strings to mend a relationship. And I liked it ^^. Another minor I did while typing up the lyrics was try some formatting to help people get a feel for some of the layering in the vocals in my head. I only did it twice, but both times I'm trying to show 3 or 4 voices singing at the same time before moving on. Hopefully that gets across, and if not, here's this fancy little description telling you straight up that that's what it's doing.
Not feeling up to inspirations, but it definitely has some Mumford & Sons influence in the chorus, since I almost jacked it from one of their songs, and also tinges of The Day That I Die by Good Charlotte and Angels In Everything by Blue October. So go off of those, I guess.
